Prayer Service for U.S. Province Leadership Conference

DSC01532On Wednesday morning, the Branton Chapel filled with Presidents and Principals from our Brothers of the Sacred Heart schools throughout the U.S. Province. Senior Benjamin Chanes led the group with an opening prayer, “Lord ignite our hearts so that we may embrace our prophetic mission, modeled by Fr. André Coindre and his charism, which he shared with the world.” The group gathered for a special morning prayer service as the 26th United States Province Leadership Conference took place on Brother Martin’s campus.

The prayer service was filled with beautiful music sung by members of the Brother Martin Chorus, as well as readings delivered by a select group of 8th – 12th grade students. Additionally, students Andy Biehl ‘22 and Alexander Genois ‘18 shared their thoughts about their experiences at Brother Martin.

I’ve seen the way that Brother Martin has reached out to the world of people who need us most, and through their service to other people, they have fulfilled the mission of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. Participating in and witnessing these events makes me feel like I’m part of a bigger, better life.  I feel as if the Brothers of the Sacred Heart have instilled their passion into me. I want to keep doing service and being there for those who need it most. As I look toward the future, I hope that this inner passion will carry me to be better in my life, especially in doing what’s best for others. Going to Brother Martin demonstrates and exemplifies the fact that, among all values in this world, one of the most important is our obligation and mission to reach out to the world with service,” reflected Andy Biehl ‘22.

Thank you to our Campus Ministry team for organizing the student-led prayer service and for all of our student volunteers and readers! Special thanks to all of our guests who were joined together at Brother Martin for the Province Leadership Conference.
