Members of the Crusader Band and the Brother Martin community came together one morning this week to pray for the recovery of Mr. Marty Hurley, long time band director who is recovering from a stroke. Senior Justin Daws led the prayer for healing, which included a performance of Mr. Hurley’s “Street Surfer Cadence #25,” a reflection from Assistant Band Director Mr. Dominic Caronna ’85, a reading from scripture, a communal prayer, and an opportunity for students to send Mr. Hurley a digital video message. Mr. Hurley remains at Tulane Hospital and is being prepared for stroke rehabilitation. Please continue to keep him and his family in your prayers.
