During the daily morning prayer over the P.A. system, our Crusaders prayed together for the Power of the Holy Spirit to be with them during Exam Week.
Pope Francis in Sunday’s homily on the Feast of Pentecost reminded us of the power of the Spirit to transform the hearts of Jesus’ timid disciples from fearful men, “huddled behind closed doors”, to bold men who “bear witness to [Jesus]” as John’s Gospel states [Jn 15:27].
Let us call to mind that we are in God’s presence.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Lord,
Your servant, Pope Francis tells us that since the Holy Spirit provokes change that we can turn to the Spirit for a “powerful ‘jolt’ ” when “we are in need of real change,” as the Holy Spirit is “the power of God” and the “giver of life”. Please give us this jolt of life today and every day! Especially as we take our final exams and finish the year strong.
Remind us to say when we wake up each morning: ‘Come, Holy Spirit, come into my heart, come into my day.
We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Ametur Cor Jesu, Loved be the Heart of Jesus!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
