After two thrilling victories against Jesuit, the Crusaders continued play with a game against Riverside Academy on Saturday. Brother Martin jumped to an early lead, scoring two runs in the top of the first and three in the second to take a 5-0 lead. Brother Martin continued their momentum by adding two runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth.
Ducote had a great day at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a home run, double and three RBIs while Blake Battle had two hits, two runs and two RBIs. Daniel Lahare went 2-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI and Jacob Seward and Jarett Gongora each had an RBI to pace a nine-hit attack.
Four pitchers combined to pitch a no-hitter as the Crusaders blanked the Rebels 9-0 at Reserve in a non-district contest.
The Crusaders (17-5) return to 9-5A action Wednesday, opening a two-game series against Grace King at 7 p.m. at Bonnabel Stadium.
