After a 10-0 win over HK Tors to start the American Legion Southwest Louisiana Regional, Peake BMW took on Shaw-based Refuel on Sunday night. Peake BMW did most of its damage in the first inning working the Refuel pitcher to load the bases and scored twice to take a 2-0 lead after one inning.
Recent graduate Cody Ducote led Peake BMW with three RBIs, while Tyler Zamjahn gave up just two hits and recorded seven strikeouts in seven innings of work to get the win on the mound. Owen Magee also had an RBI for Peake BMW.
Peake BMW will face Dutchtown-based Gauthier & Amedee in a winner’s bracket game at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium on Monday night.
