The night game was the best game of the day on Saturday in The 2013 American Legion State tournament. Brother Martin-based Peake BMW and the Crowley Millers needed 15 innings to settle everything in a 6-4 Peake triumph.
Both scored a run in the first before Peake BMW heated up in the top of the third to take a 4-1 lead. The Millers scored two in the bottom of the third and one in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game. Both teams had opportunities to win the game but outstanding pitching kept the runners stranded on the bases.
In the 15th, Jacob Seward dropped a single in short left to score Jonathan Parker with what proved to be the winning run. Peake added an insurance run on a bases-loaded walk to Cody Ducote.
Jarrett Gongora threw seven innings of scoreless relief for the victory.
