Brother Martin-based Peake BMW, led by graduating senior Jarett Gongora, shutout Holy Cross-based Ponstein’s Grocery, 4-0, in an American Legion victory at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium Wednesday night.
Gongora (1-0) had a good outing for Peake BMW as he finished with four strikeouts in four innings pitched. The former Brother Martin Crusader also added an RBI going 2-for-4 for the game.
Tyler Johnston (1-for-3) and Owen Magee (2-for-3) each added an RBI in victory for Peake BMW.
