The 2015 “Celebration of the Crest”- Brother Martin Extravaganza, sponsored by the Brother Martin Parents Club, was held on Saturday, November 14th at the New Orleans Marriott Hotel. The night was a grand success as over 800 Crusader friends celebrated in grand style, complete with an ice sculpture of the school crest, all to the benefit of the Brother Martin student body. Parents, friends, alumni of St. Aloysius, Cor Jesu, and Brother Martin, as well as faculty and staff, enjoyed an evening of great food, drink, music and a selection of silent and verbal auction items at one of the premiere hotels in New Orleans. The Crusader Jazz Band, directed by Mr. Chris Bailey ‘86, performed at the Patron Party, while the Student Ambassadors and Cheerleaders assisted in the festivities during the main event. The Main Event parent chair-couple for the event was Mia & Scott Corrente ’83 and the co-chair-couples were Jodi and Lindsey Williams ’83 and Missy and Mark Hildreth. The Patron Party parent co- chair-couples were Kathleen and Al Roevens ’81 and Lisa and Sal Brocato III ’88.
Among the many items up for biding in the Verbal Auction consisted of a guest spot alongside Chef Jeff Henderson on the nationally syndicated show”Flip My Food”, a reserved parking spot for a student for the 2015-2016 school year, an original painting by Bro. Carl Bouchereau, S.C., a private Mass in the James B. Branton Chapel, and a Sicilian dinner for eight at the home of Marian and Nick Lagattuta ’71.
