Patrick Evans ’19 Commits to University of Virginia

Brother Martin High School Senior Patrick Evans has committed to wrestle at The University of Virginia. Evans was a state finalist as a Sophomore compiling a record of 33-7. He finished his Junior season with a record of 50-3 and was the Division I 145lb. State Champion. Evans has a career record of 110-19. "Attending The University of Virginia has been a dream of mine for a long time. I'm excited to be able to further my academic and athletic career at one of the best universities in the country," commented Evans.

Evans, who has been a team captain since his Sophomore season, ranks sixth in his class with a 4.62 GPA. He is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society President, Student Ministry, and The Brother Martin Leadership Program.

Coach Robbie Dauterive noted, "Patrick has been outstanding since the day he walked into Brother Martin.  He not only has the athletic ability to wrestle at the Division I level but he has the intellect.

Congratulations to Patrick on his commitment to higher education and continuing his athletic career at a university level. We are so proud of him and the Class of 2019's success thus far!
