On Wednesday night, Crusader parents walked the halls and followed their son’s schedule to experience a slice of their son’s day at Brother Martin. Parents had an opportunity to listen to the expectations of each of their son’s teachers, to check out the Formation Center and Library, and to attend the Parents Club meeting.
Parents Club President, Kraig de Lanzac ‘86 introduced the Parents Club Board and reiterated how important it is for our parents to get involved, to get to know one another, and to attend events. The Parent Drive and the Extravaganza, both introduced to our parents, are just two of the many ‘events/activities’ in which parents have an opportunity to get involved – to support the mission of Brother Martin. The upcoming College Run trip was described by faculty member, Matt Lambert ‘98 , and Assistant Principal for Academics, Debbie Broussard, and Formation Director, Jill Gomez, updated our parents on the outstanding academic work that our students are doing, with particular emphasis on preparation for Standardized Tests.
The next Parent-Teacher Visitation is Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 6 p.m. -7:30 p.m., with a Parent’s Club Meeting and Social to follow. The format of the remaining Parent-Teacher Visitations allows parents to meet with individual teachers for three minute increments to get face-to-face updates regarding their son’s progress in each of his classes.
