Crusaders in Mr. Caparotta's Applied Music class took part in a fun yet challenging project earlier this semester...
Students in Mr. Caparotta's Applied Music class studied the scores of Beethoven's vocal works this semester. As part of their score reading practice, students learned to read notes written in the C clefs.
During one project, members of the class were divided into groups, and they participated in a friendly competition. Students were given a series of words to spell using images of notes written in the tenor and alto clefs. At first, the words were shorter, and they only had to use one clef at a time. As the class progressed, the words became longer, and students then had to use a mixture of notes from the tenor and alto clefs to spell the target word.
We are pleased to be able to offer classes dedicated to the arts like this Applied Music class in our mission to provide a holistic education for our Crusaders.
