Congratulations to senior Noah Labbé for being selected as WGNO News Scholar-Athlete of the week! Recently, he was featured on WGNO’s Friday Night Football with Ed Daniels and J.T. Curtis. During his time on the gridiron since 10th grade, he has demonstrated his versatility making big plays at both defensive end and outside linebacker positions.
Brother Martin Head Coach Mark Bonis says, “Labbé is a true leader on and off the field. He has an honest commitment to his teammates and sets the example everyday of how you live out the principles of a Brother Martin football player.” Currently, Labbé leads the Crusaders in defensive productivity after just 5 games with 36 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 4 QB sacks, 5 QB pressures, and 2 QB hits along with a forced fumble and a recovered fumble. Defensive Line Coach Jon Norris, who has coached players at 3 levels, says, “Noah is one of the few players that I’ve worked with who plays it exactly the way you coach it. His highlight reel can be used as a clinic tape.”
In addition to this most recent accolade, Labbé was also recognized as the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club Scholar-Athlete. Congratulations, Noah!
