Brother Martin High School NJROTC Color Guard, under the command of Cadet Jacob Detiege, was honored to present the Colors at a Port of New Orleans ceremony honoring First Responders from Hurricane Katrina at the ten year anniversary. Harbor Police Chief Robert Hecker presided and introduced our Color Guard at the Port Headquarters in front of the CEO of the Port, Commissioners, VIPs, Administrators and First Responders. Sixty Harbor Police, Firefighters and Federal partners were honored with service medals for their brave work downtown during the storm. Our Cadets were honored to be among those who gave to the city during the time of crisis. Once again, Brother Martin Cadets exemplified professionalism and courtesy during this important ceremony.
