NJROTC Cadets Get Special Visit

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOn Tuesday August 19th, Rear Admiral Brian Brown, a 1986 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, came to speak with the cadets in the Brother Martin NJROTC program as well as some Environmental Science students.  He spoke on the importance of Meteorology and Oceanography to the United States Navy. Admiral Brown leads the Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command.  Admiral Brown explained to cadets how the Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command uses Oceanography, Hydrology, Geophysics, and Astronomy and precise time to develop a successful tactical and operational battlespace and at all levels of war. After his presentation, Admiral Brown fielded questions from cadets questions on various topics such as becoming an Admiral, his experience in the Navy, and new technologies in use by the navy.
