The Brother Martin NJROTC Color Guard had the honor of presenting the National Colors and representing the South Shore on Thursday, 8 September 2011 for the “Twin Span Bridge Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony.â€Â This historic event was attended by numerous representatives of prominent North and South Shore businesses, as well as state and local government officials. The ceremony celebrated the economic importance that the bridge plays in local commerce. Governor Bobby Jindal was the guest of honor, and he was assisted by Secretary of Louisiana Department of Transportation, Sherri LeBas. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was followed by the ceremonial first drive across the bridge. The National Anthem was played by the North Shore High School Band as the Brother Martin NJROTC Color Guard Presented the National Colors.     Â
