The Mu Alpha Theta Crusader Mathletes from Brother Martin continue their A-game streak with another successful showing at a Mu Alpha Theta Tournament. The Mathletes finished in 3rd place at the Ben Franklin Tournament on Saturday, November 16th.

This marks the first time this year that the Mathletes have placed in Sweepstakes in back-to-back Mu Alpha Theta Tournaments only a week apart (2nd place at Episcopal MA0 Tournament last week). When asked if he thought they would need to shake off any rust after having two and a half weeks between competitions, Brother Martin MA0 President Scott Hew '20 responded, "I'm confident that we'll use the time to rest up, but we definitely won't let our brains go dull. We'll make sure to keep all of our skills sharpened and be ready to math our way to victory. We are very well lead by our moderators Mr. McClain and Mr. Skyta, so I'm not worried at all." Pencil jokes in Math club. Classic!
The Mathletes will have a bit of a rest as they will next be in action on Wednesday, December 4th at the District I Descartes Competition hosted by Cabrini High School.
