Mrs. Gayle Benson Speaks at Morning Prayer Breakfast

IMG_5367On Tuesday, October 21st, Brother Martin hosted the 10th Annual Prayer Breakfast at Metairie Country Club. This year’s keynote speaker was Mrs. Gayle Benson. Mrs. Benson spoke about the troubles from her past and how always putting trust in God will help guide you through life.

Mrs. Benson is a native of Algiers and a talented business professional and philanthropist. She has worked as an interior designer, property manager, and construction consultant and has received numerous professional awards throughout her career.

Mrs. Benson is currently a member of the Ochsner Health Foundation Board and the Tulane Board of Directors. She is a recipient of the Medal of the Order of St. Louis for her dedication to the Catholic Church. Jointly she and Mr. Benson were awarded the St. Elizabeth Seton Award for service and philanthropy to the National Catholic Education Association.

In 2012, Pope Benedict XVI awarded Mr. and Mrs. Benson the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice award for outstanding service to the Church and the Pontiff. This is the highest Papal award a lay person can receive.
