Michael A. Flick, a member of the St. Aloysius Class of 1966, has been selected by the Brother Martin High School Board of Directors as the 2024 Alumnus of the Year. 

The Alumnus of the Year award is presented annually by the Board of Directors of Brother Martin High School to an alumnus selected for contributions to his profession and for his religious, civic, business, educational, and community involvement.

Michael Flick is extremely active in the Brother Martin community. He helped to lead the St. Aloysius Class of 1966 Scholarship, helped to enhance our Need-Based Financial Assistance program with suggestions concerning donors and recipients, honored Br. Neal Golden, S.C. with a lead gift for the Br. Neal Tech Endowment, serves on the Sacre’ Coeur Society Committee, and he and his wife Julie regularly attend the President's Dinner.

The celebration kicked off Thursday, February 22 with the Ladies Lunch at Ralph’s on the Park where Julie Flick, Mike’'s wife, was honored and welcomed by the wives of past Alumnus of the Year Award recipients. Saturday, February 24 began with the Gentlemen’s Breakfast at the Southern Yacht Club where past Alumni of the Year welcomed and congratulated Mike. Later, Fr. Michael Schneller ’64 SA celebrated Mass in the James B. Branton Chapel.

On Sunday, February 2, Mike was officially presented with the award at a luncheon at the Audubon Tea Room. Brother Martin Board of Directors Chairman David Gallo ’77, President Greg Rando ’77, Principal Ryan Gallagher ’00, and 2023 Alumnus of the Year Recipient Kurt Engelhardt ’78 presented the award.

At the ceremony, Mike was also joined by his wife Julie and his sons, Chad, Frank, and Bryan as well as his brother Warren Flick, Jr. ’61 and his wife, Donna, friends, and classmates.
