Men of Elysian Fields Celebrate 2019 Track & Field Convocation

The Athletics Department hosted the 2019 Track and Field convocation, on Monday, May 13, in the Tom and Gayle Benson Mall to celebrate this season’s accomplishments. Track and Field head coach Brad Duplechain addressed the crowd highlighting the events of the year.

The track and field team competed in the state championship at LSU's Bernie Moore Stadium on Saturday, May 4th. The team finished 5th overall. The 4x800m relay consisting of Ahmad Wilson ‘19, Jackson Anuszkiewicz ‘19, Abe Bernstein ‘20, and Ethan Dupas ‘20 finished 5th running a postseason-best time of 8:08.04.

Cade Litolff ‘19 finished 3rd in the 3200m run for his first ever top-five finish in a state championship. Hunter Appleton ‘19 claimed both the 1600m and 3200m titles to cap off his career with a total of 7 individual state championships as a distance runner at Brother Martin. Congratulations Men of Elysian Fields on a hard-working season.
