Matthew Lewis '24, representing Mr. Kubicki’s 8th period World Geography class, competed against other winners of the class competitions to become the top finisher at Brother Martin High School. He proceeded to take the Louisiana qualifying test and was named a semifinalist eligible to compete in the 2020 National Geographic GeoBee State Competition. The National Geographic Society has announced that all further competition for the 2020 GeoBee is cancelled in the interest of public safety and responsibility.
