Mathletes Compete in Baton Rouge High Tournament

20160130_124441Last Saturday, the Crusader Mathletes competed in the Mu Alpha Theta – Baton Rouge High Tournament.  Crusaders took home 4th place in the Sweepstakes, but were shy of only two points behind 3rd place.

Club moderator Mr. McClain desired a photo to capture the results of the tournament: “I was so proud of the way these guys performed, I told them, ‘Smile everybody!  Y’all are my A-Team!’  I don’t know why so many guys looked so glum.  I had a good time…”

Senior and MA0-Rookie, Zachary Baier replied, “I thought he said, ‘Smile like you’re James Dean.  That’s what I did.”

Undeterred, Mr. McClain continues, “I’m really excited for State Convention!  We have a couple of tournaments left to sharpen our skills before the big event!”

The Crusader Mathletes are back in action at the District I Meeting at Cabrini High School on February 18th.
