Sophomore Mason Bonnaffons was selected as NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune’s Metro Area Large School Athlete of the Week for April 26- May 2! Mason was nominated based on his performance against Shaw in the regional round of the playoffs. Bonnaffons hit a two-run double that supplied the winning margin in a 5-2 victory against Shaw in the Class 5A regional baseball playoffs. The double accounted for the final two runs of a four-run second inning that gave the Crusaders a 4-0 lead and helped complete the two-game sweep of the Eagles advancing the Crusaders to the state quarterfinals for the third consecutive year. Bonnaffons finished the series going 3-6 with 2 RBIs. Congratulations, Mason!
