Marty Hurley Memorial Visitation

Tuesday night, members of the Crusader family gathered at Brother Martin High School to pay tribute to Marty Hurley, the school’s longtime band director, who died on Sept. 12 at age 65.

Marty Hurley was a member of the Brother Martin community for 37 years as the band director.  He was also known for working with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, an organization of several dozen marching units that perform across the country every summer.

About 800 guests came to share their support and memories of Marty Hurley.  200 former students, Brother Martin band alumni, colleagues and friends came together Tuesday to honor Hurley with a 30-minute presentation.
