Martial Arts Team Qualifies for USKA National Championship

Last Saturday, the Brother Martin Martial Arts Team competed in the USKA State Championship Tournament in Ruston. Freshman Thomas Jackson fought hard to earn 4th in the state. Fellow freshmen Andrew Biehl and Matthew Lindner defeated all challengers to face each other in the finals. In the end, Biehl got silver and Lindner hung on to capture the gold.

Only the top four athletes in each State Championship division qualify for the National Championships. All three of our freshmen will be representing Brother Martin on the National level. Congratulations to our Martial Arts Team and to the moderators, Tom Heller and Don Guidry, for such a successful presence at the State Championship!
