Senior Owen Magee is named the male New Orleans Area Large Schools (Classes 5A, 4A) Player of the Week by Nola.com. According to Nola.com, Magee had a pair of two-hit games while driving in five runs in two victories for the New Orleans Metro area’s top-ranked team. A senior third baseman, Magee recorded RBI-singles while going 2-for-3 in a 4-3 District 9-5A victory against Jesuit that put the Crusaders in the driver’s seat for a Catholic League championship. Magee’s singles drove in Martin’s first and final runs, with the second hit coming in the fifth inning and plating what proved to be the eventual winning run against a Jesuit team then ranked No. 1 in the New Orleans area. Magee also went 2-for-3 with a three-run triple in a 14-4 district victory against St. Augustine. Congratulations, Owen!
