The Brother Martin Crusaders (8-3) will travel to Baton Rouge to take on the Catholic High Bears (10-0) in a quarterfinal match on Friday, November 18, 2016. Kickoff is set for 7p.m. from Olympia Stadium in Baton Rouge. These two Brothers of the Sacred Heart Schools will play each other for the third consecutive year in the state playoffs. In 2014, Brother Martin won against by a score of 25-23. Last year, the Bears out played the Crusaders taking the win by a score of 49-48 prior to claiming the 2015 Division Select State Championship.
Fans can access the live broadcast of the football game on www.wgso.com and through WGSO 990 AM as part of Ken Trahan’s Original Prep Football Report. Brother Martin Alumni Leni Sumich ’90 and Jay Romig ’72 will join Ken Trahan for the call of the game while providing expert analysis on the broadcasts.
Tickets can be purchased in the Bookstore for $8….or $10 at the gate. Student id’s and season passes will not be honored for this contest. Please note that children five years old and under will be admitted free. Six years old and above attendees will need a general admission ticket.
