Last weekend the Brother Martin Lacrosse team took a trip to Lafayette to battle with the teams from Northern Louisiana. The Varsity took a bus on Friday to challenge the St. Thomas Moore Cougars. Unfortunately, the team fell short in a 9-6 nail biter. However, the team rallied on Saturday and defeated the Lafayette Hurricanes 11-3 and Dutchtown 7-3. Our Junior Varsity also had a great day by tying St. Thomas Moore’s JV 4-4 and defeating Dutchtown 9-0. Our Freshmen also performed well. Scorers on the Varsity team included Robbie Borrello, Chad Kelly, Brandon Macheca and Kyle Scaffidi. The JV offense was led by Chase Edwards and Patrick Lorio and defense by defensive captain Blake Roberts.
