Congratulations to the Ray Brandt Big Easy Lacrosse Team, which was led by students of Brother Martin High School, for a very successful 4-1 record in the Georgia Southern Shootout in Gainesville Georgia this past weekend. In the first game Big Easy beat the Tennessee Putnam County Empire by 15-1. Jack Bryant ’16 and Lee Davis ’16 each scored three goals. The second game was a win over the Gwinnett Grizzlies 8-4, with Lee Davis’16 scoring two goals and Garrett Frey ’16 with four saves. The third game was a tough lost for Big Easy losing to the Atlanta Empire National by 11-2.
The second day of tournament play resulted in two big wins for Big Easy beating the Augusta Patriots 8-5 and beating the Indiana Eville Storm Purple 7-3. Edwin Pigeon ’16 lead the scoring in the final game with two goals and Holden Savoie ‘16 had five saves in the second half.
