Daniel Lahare went 2-4, helping Brother to a 5-4 victory over Riverside on Saturday at E.A. Farley Field.
With the game tied at 4-4, Lahare stood tall at the plate and prepared for the 3-2 pitch. With the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, Brother Martin’s Daniel Lahare was ready and didn’t disappoint.
Daniel Lehare lined a fastball straight to the center-field gap, delighting the packed home crowd.
Brother Martin jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first and tallied three more in the bottom of the second. The Crusaders got things going with an Owen Magee single. Riverside plated 4 players in the top of the fourth inning to tie the game at 4-4. Lahare came through in the end with the game winning RBI single.
The Crusaders have two games this week with St. Charles Catholic on Tuesday afternoon starting at 4:00 pm and Jesuit on Wednesday night at 7:00 pm. Both games will be played at Kirsch-Rooney.
