On Saturday, February 4, the Brother Martin JV and JVB lacrosse teams competed against the Holy Cross Tigers at Muss Bertilino Stadium. The JV team dominated on both the offense and defense coming out victorious by a score of 14-1. The JV defense held the Tigers to only two shots the whole game. The defense was led by Elliot Martinez ‘19 with five assists. In addition, leading the JV offense was Luke Rau ’20 and Carson Scott ‘20 with five goals each. Hank Castro ‘19, Ryan Templet ‘19, Cayden McCoy ‘20 and Alec Baudy ‘19 scored one goal each.
Coming off an impressive second place finish in the Allstate Sugar Bowl, the JVB team won over the Holy Cross Tigers by a score of 5-1. The defense was aggressive by keeping the ball in the sticks out of the offense the entire game. Goalie Dylan Fremin ’20 led the defense with many saves. Chase Scott ‘21 and Elliot Baudry ’20 each had assists while Gabriel O’ Regan ‘20 and Chandler Bonvillian ‘21 had two goals each. Collin Blackwell ’21 scored one goal.
The Crusaders compete this weekend in the Battle of the Beach in Gauthier, Mississippi.
