Lacrosse Takes Win Over the Byrd Yellow Jackets

Congratulations to the Lacrosse Varsity team with a big win over the Byrd Yellow Jackets from Shreveport this weekend. The Crusaders beat the Yellow Jackets 10 – 4 with Nicolas Benedetto ‘17 leading the scoring with four goals; Lee Davis ‘16 with two goals; and Dylan Gourgues ’16, Jack Bryant ’16, Edwin Pigeon ’16, Noah Velez ’18 with one goal each. Holden Savoie ‘16 preserved the win with 15 saves, of which four of those saves were against their number one shooter #26 Bryson Smith.

In Saturday’s games against Friendswood Texas, Varsity lost a tough game 8- 10.

In the JV Division against Byrd this weekend James Bender ‘18 and Patrick Evans ’19 each score two goals; and William Jones ’18 and Will Walsten ’19 each scored one goal in their 6 – 3 win over the JV Yellow Jackets.
