Lacrosse Claims Victory Against Greenies

Congratulations to the varsity lacrosse team who won this past weekend over the Northshore Spartans 11-4 and with a win over the Isidore Newman Greenies on Wednesday night by a score of 16-3.

Leading the Crusaders in scoring against Newman was Noah Velez ‘18 with six goals; Nicolas Benedetto ‘17 with three goals, Felipe Gomez ‘18 and Connor McCoy ‘18 with two goals each; and Stephen Kimble ‘17, Dylan Mattio ‘17, and Patrick Willis ’17 with one goal each. Goalie Jacob Bodino ’19 limited the Greenies to three scores with his seven saves.

Lacrosse plays in its final district game this weekend, so come on out Saturday, April 1 to Muss Bertolino Field in Kenner as the Crusaders take on Jesuit for 10 a.m., with junior varsity also playing at noon, and junior varsity –b playing for 2 p.m. This should be an exciting day of Lacrosse against the Jesuit Blue Jays.
