This season, Crusader Lacrosse Alumni were instrumental in the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s win in the Lone Star Alliance (LSA) Division II Lacrosse Championship.  ULL had raced out to a 9-4 halftime lead and held off a second-half charge from UT-Dallas, to win the 2017 Lone Star Alliance Division II Lacrosse Championship by a score of 11-8 in Dallas. ULL secured a berth in the 16 team Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) National Championship in Irvine, CA this coming weekend.  Edwin Pigeon ‘16 scored three goals against the UT-Dallas Comet’s, and goalie Michael Olivio ’14 had a superb game inside the net for ULL to hold the Comets to eight goals in the finals.  On Saturday, ULL beat the Baylor Bears 11-10 in an exciting OT to advance from the semifinals to Sunday’s championship game.
