The inaugural Louisiana Rising Stars Showcase was held Saturday at Baton Rouge Community College and was a great showing of some of the states top prospects.
Listed as a guard/forward, Cornish showed skills that could make him a true combo guard on the next level. He brought the ball up court and didn’t just attack the rim but also got plenty assists by getting his teammates involved.
He also showed the ability to finish around the rim and had a nice touch on his jump shot. He finished with a game-high 27 points, including four 3-pointers.
Cornish’s top six schools are: Oklahoma, Tennessee, Purdue, UTEP, VCU and Houston.
