On Friday, February 7th, 2025 the Joint Armed Forces Color Guard visited Brother Martin High School ahead of their Super Bowl LIX performance on Sunday and presented the colors for our NJROTC cadets.
The Joint Armed Forces Color Guard consists of service members from each military branch that perform at national level events. We were pleased to welcome SFC Alexander Smith, SGT Justin Yurs, SSG Trevor Kemp, CPL Silas Clayton, LCPL Justen Levere, USN Airman Jackson Risse, SN Timothy Outten, Spc4 Cameron Matthews, SrA Hunter McKinney, TSgt Jacob Kight, and MSgt Kenneth Riehman.
After their presentation and general questions, members of the color guard spoke with our Crusaders and cadets from Ursuline Academy of New Orleans in small groups. Members of the U.S. Air Force Band also brought their drums to the Prof. Taverna Band Room, shared their experiences playing music in the military, and performed music for our Crusader bandsmen. Chief Master Sergeant Daniel Valadie '91 is a Brother Martin graduate and the Drum Major for the U.S. Air Force Band.
We are honored to have hosted these service members and look forward to watching them perform again this weekend.
