Southeastern Louisiana sophomore outfielder Jacob Seward ’13 has been named the Southland Conference Hitter of the Week announced by the league office on Monday, March 16th.
Seward led the Lions in hitting this past week (.692), turning in multi-hit performances in all four games. The sophomore from New Orleans, Louisiana, also walked three times and was hit by a pair of pitches, reaching bases 14 out of the 18 times he came to the plate. He did not strike out. He picked up an RBI in three of Southeastern’s four games and stole three bases. Seward scored five runs, including a pair of runs in each of the Lions’ wins over Abilene Christian.
Seward was a member of the 2013 Undefeated District Champion and State quarter-finalist Crusader baseball team. Congratulations, Jacob!
