Brother Martin High School was honored to welcome Mr. Ivan Dragicevic who spoke with our Crusaders and faculty during 4th and 5th periods yesterday in the Auditorium. There, Mr. Dragicevic shared his experiences growing up in Medjugorje and how he, among five other children, saw "the most beautiful image of Our Lady" at Medjugorje and became visionaries, sharing messages of peace with the world.
First, Mr. Dragicevic led all present in praying the Our Father and Hail Mary. Then, he spoke about what life was like for him growing up in Medjugorje.
Mr. Dragicevic then reflected on these words of Our Lady:
“Dear children, I am coming to you to tell you that God exists… that God exists. Decide for God and go together with Him to your future. Establish a new relationship and friendship with Him.”
“Dear children, if a person does not have peace within their own heart and if there is not peace within the family, there can’t be peace in the world. Therefore, dear children, open yourselves to the gift of peace. Leave behind evil. Leave behind sin. Open the way of the Holy Spirit to your hearts.”
"What I'd like to emphasize one more time… oftentimes we say that we don't have the time. We don't have time to pray. We don't have time to go to Mass. We say the problem is time.
But Our Lady says very simply, “Dear children, don't always say that you don't have time. Time is not the problem. The problem is love. Because dear children, when someone really loves something they will always find the time for it. But if they don't love it, they will never find the time for it.” So you see if there is love, we will always find the time."
Mr. Dragicevic then encouraged our Crusaders to go home and ask their parents to pray with them: "Today more than ever before we need to decide for Jesus. My dear friends, especially, you, young people. We all need to pray more. Many families today are empty. Many families today are lacking love. Many families today are spiritually empty and parents have stopped being an example for their children. So today, or this evening, when you get back home to your houses, you be the ones to remind your parents to pray. Because you will then see how, with the start of praying together as a family, how much peace is going to grow in your family. Because there is no living church without living families. Today, we need each and every one of our families to be a chapel in which there is prayer."
