Elementary, middle, and high school students at all No Place for Hate schools in the South Central Region were asked to “Imagine a World Without Hate” and submit essays and artwork embodying this phrase. The ADL (Anti-Defamation League) received 217 submissions from the 11 schools in the area (54 were from Brother Martin). Brother Martin students from Ms. Sevin’s and Dr. Melito’s religion classes were encouraged to participate, and lucky Crusaders received 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in the 9-12th grade category for their depictions of a world without hate.
John Clark received 1st placed in the Art category while Garrett Boyd placed 1st for his essay submission.
All artwork will be displayed at the National World War II Museum from 12/15/13-2/15-14.
Congratulations to all the Crusaders who participated.
