The only way to top Homecoming Spirit Week activities and a huge District victory over West Jefferson on Friday night was to hold the 2011 Homecoming Dance at the Morial Convention Center on Saturday night. Students (grades 8-12) and their dates packed the dance floor in the Orleans La Nouvelle Ballroom to enjoy the music played by D.J. Bruce Roussell. At 9:30 p.m. the Homecoming Court was introduced. The girls were escorted by senior football players who had been voted to that role by the entire team. Making her final official appearance, the 2010 Homecoming Queen, Alexandra Bensel was escorted by fullback Dane D’Gerolamo. Running back, John West, served as escort to Jessie Majorie. Brittany Roberts crossed the dance floor with linebacker Colin Rousset. Wide receiver, Nicholas Bohte, was the escort of Maddie Solari. Our 2011 Homecoming Queen, Lindsey Mayer, took center stage with her escort, defensive back, Rivers Frederick. Student Council President, Ken Newburger, presented each of the members of the Court with a rose and a gift. The Queen, Lindsey Mayer, was given a bouquet of roses and a gift. We thank all the lovely young ladies who participated in our Homecoming Court election this year.
