The Conlin Gymnasium was shaking this morning as a full crowd of students, teachers, parents, and prospective students gathered for the annual Homecoming Pep Rally. Student Body President Michael Maldonado put on his “Game Day” coat and tie as the master of ceremonies for the festivities, which included an amazing daredevil routine by the Crusader Cheerleaders, a “Cold Hearted” performance by the Crusader Band, introductions of the senior football players, and a tense student–faculty volleyball game.Next, NJROTC cadets created a sword arch for the presentation of the 2013 Homecoming Court. The Crusader Spirit then arrived on the heels of a Coach Gallagher’s praise of Crusader Athletics. He brought with him the 2009 Vince Lombardi Trophy, earned by our Super Bowl-winning Saints–as a sign of the champion spirit that resides here on Elysian Fields Avenue. Finally, over 140 prospective students joined the football team and the cheerleaders on the floor of the gym to sing the Crusader Fight Song.
Join the Crusader family tonight at 7 pm at Tad Gormley as we take on the Tigers from Holy Cross. Tailgating and Homecoming activities begin at 5 pm outside the stadium.
