The Class of 2014 and their friends and family gathered at St. Dominic Church in Lakeview to celebrate the annual Graduation Mass. Ordained Brother of the Sacred Heart Louis Couvillon, S.C., was the celebrant. During his homily, he thanked the seniors for their service to one another and to God in their years on Elysian Fields Avenue. After communion, Principal Gregory Rando ’77 provided a reflection in which he asked students to think beyond their book learning to the spiritual growth they experienced while at Brother Martin. Each senior received a plaque of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart escutcheon as well as a special Brother Martin rosary. Thanks to chorus and band members as well as to the acolytes, cross bearers, lectors, and extraordinary ministers of holy communion who gave their gifts in service to the Mass. Graduation takes place at the UNO Lakefront Arena this Friday, May 23rd at 8:00 pm.
