Congratulations to the Brother Martin golf team for their third place finish in the regional tournament. The event was held at Carter Plantation in Springfield, LA. With the finish, the Crusaders will advance to the state championship next Monday and Tuesday for the first time since the 2006-2007 season. The match will be held at at Farm d’ Allie in Carencro, LA.
During the 2006-2007 season, the Crusaders finished with an 11-1 record capturing district and regional titles for the school. The one loss occurred when the Crusaders were defeated by the Rummel Raiders in the final match of the season. The team, under the leadership of Coach Ron Brisbi ’67 SA and Golf Moderator Donnie Midkiff ’03, was led with steady play from all members such as Wondell Smith – 82, Dwayne Heron with – 81, Sport Faust -83, Cameron Avery – 85, and John-Carter Amlingmeyer – 82.
