Future Eagle Scout Plans to Give Back to Brother Martin

One of our very own Brother Martin seniors, Cameron Eady '23, is preparing to complete a worthwhile project in his final steps toward becoming an Eagle Scout of the Boy Scouts of America:

"My name is Cameron Eady. I am a member of Scout Troop 261, and I am working to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. After I joined scouting, I came to find out that my grandfather, Charles James Eady, Sr. was an Eagle Scout and a Scoutmaster for many years. He was a good man, and as a 2nd grader, I decided that I wanted to reach that goal someday - to be an Eagle Scout just like him. He passed away later that year, and that was when I really set it in stone, that I was going to be an Eagle Scout. As I climbed through the ranks from Scout to Life, I learned more and more about what it means to be a good man and to have good character.

Achieving the rank of Eagle has been a goal of mine for many years, and to do so I must complete a service project to benefit the community. I chose Brother Martin High School and the future families associated with it. My Project consists of three benches in the patch of trees by the Branton Chapel, to the right of the lightning bolt. These benches will be for classes working outside as well as guests and visitors of Brother Martin High School.

Thank you for listening to my story!

Yours in Scouting,
Cameron Eady ‘23"
