On Thursday, November 7, 2024, we were pleased to host our annual Brother Martin Open House for over 400 5th through 8th-grade future Crusaders and their families.
Members of our Crusader family warmly greeted our guests as they entered through the Thomas F. and Elaine P. Ridgley Fine Arts & Athletic Center. Our guests then received personalized Brother Martin name tags as they walked through the Brother Mark Thornton Terrace. They then strolled through the backyard as the Brother Martin drumline entertained them on their route to the James B. Branton Chapel, where Myles Monzon ‘25 spoke about his own Brother Martin experience to kick off the exciting evening. After a moving prayer by 8th-grade class president, John Schepens '29, Principal Ryan Gallagher ’00 and President Gregory Rando '77 spoke of the mission statement of Brother Martin High School and shared the philosophy of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart which is rooted in a holistic approach to education that is enriched in Religious Values, Friendly Discipline, Academic Excellence, and Personal Attention, all in pursuit of Forming Young Men for Life.
Guests were then escorted from the Branton Chapel where Assistant Principal for Admissions Carlos Bogran III ’99 greeted each student and their families as they were paired with their personal Crusader tour guide. One-on-one tours were provided by current Brother Martin students who showcased our state-of-the-art facilities and shared important information about our school’s history, academic course offerings and schedule, extracurricular opportunities, athletics interests, and a host of other topics.
We would like to offer a special thanks to Mr. Carlos Bogran III '99, Assistant Principal for Admissions, for spearheading these Open House efforts. Thank you as well to all of our guests, students, parents, alumni, and faculty for making our Open House the tremendous success it was!
