On Thursday, December 3, Brother Martin High School hosted our annual Open House. Over 350 6th through 8th-grade prospective students and their families visited our campus to learn more about what it means to #BEaCRUSADER!
The night started with guests arriving for check-in according to their scheduled time-slots by entering through the Thomas F. and Elaine P. Ridgley Fine Arts & Athletic Center. Our guests then headed into the Brother Mark Thornton Terrace where they were greeted by Principal Ryan Gallagher ’00 and Kaleb Kenney ’21. Mr. Gallagher spoke about the mission statement of Brother Martin High School and shared the philosophy of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart which is rooted in a holistic approach to education that is enriched in religious values, friendly discipline, academic excellence, and personal attention. Kaleb then took center stage and shared “I was looking for a school that would challenge me, hold me to a higher standard, but also celebrate my hard work, as long as I gave it my best” and “The best years of my life have been spent in these hallways and I can say that with complete confidence.”
Guests were then escorted to the James B. Branton Chapel where Assistant Principal for Admissions Carlos Bogran III ’99 helped to pair them with their personal tour guide. One-on-one tours were provided by current Brother Martin students who showcased our state of the art facility and shared important information about our school’s history, academic course offerings and schedule, extracurricular opportunities, athletics interests, and a host of other topics.
Thank you to all of our students, parents, alumni, and faculty, for making Open House a huge success for Brother Martin!
