In the pursuit of Academic Excellence, Brother Martin High School, led by Library Sciences Department Chair, Mrs. Olga Busch and Mr. Michael Lynn, Assistant Principal for Academics, held Summer Reading sessions on August 20, 2024 for our Crusaders.
Summer reading keeps the mind active and is critical for the retention of knowledge garnered over the prior school year. After second period, our students and faculty ventured forth across campus to form small groups to discuss the plethora of novels that were read over the summer.
Students were able to choose books of genres ranging from science fiction to sports. Each book was specially selected by a member of our faculty who would then come to lead a group discussion about that very same book. These discussions also enabled teachers and students, who may never have met otherwise, to come together to discuss the heart of the stories that interest them.
This year's summer reading was a success in our book! We can't wait to find out what will be on next year's summer reading list!
