Freshmen Welcome Grandparents to Campus

DSC03547_5033The Class of 2021 welcomed grandparents to the Brother Martin campus Sept. 25 and 26 for lunch and a visit.

Grandparents’ Days are some of the most special days of our school year, and over the next few months, each class will have an opportunity to share lunch with these special guests.

“We always have a great time at Grandparent’s Day,” said Linda Kern, who along with husband Leo, are grandparents of Nicholas Locascio. “It is wonderful spending time with our grandson, Nicholas; the chicken tenders are delicious, and everyone is so welcoming!  It is special to be a part of the Brother Martin family!”

Members of the freshman class treated their grandmothers and grandfathers to lunch in the Benson Mall during their Unstructured Period. Grandparents enjoyed the visit, some traveling distances to visit with the students. One such family was Hunter Winfrey’s grandparents, Johnny and Mary Winfrey, who came to see him from Georgia.  Other guests reminisced about their days at St. Aloysius or Cor Jesu as they viewed the Alumni Memorabilia and walked the hallways.

We enjoyed meeting all these wonderful family members, and we hope they had a great time, too!
