The Crusader Family came together on September 30th to celebrate the 190th anniversary of the founding of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart in Lyon, France. Ordained Brother Louis Couvillon, S.C., was the celebrant of the Mass; he challenged the students and faculty to maintain and pass on the Brothers’ charism. In addition, Mr. Greg Rando ’77, Principal, and Mr. Michael Speyrer, a member of the Religion Department, spoke of the solidarity they experienced visiting the Brothers’ schools in Zambia, Africa. Students Donald Davis and Benton Brown shared a reflection on their visit to St. Columba’s, a Brothers’ school outside of London, England. Finally, senior Sidney Brinson shared his articulation of the Crusader spirit and family that he experiences in the halls of Brother Martin itself.
