Excalibur Meets with Marine Fisheries Biologist Troy Sehlinger ’08

During the Excalibur National Honor Society’s monthly meeting, our Crusaders heard a presentation from Mr. Troy Sehlinger ‘08. Troy currently works for the Louisiana State Department of Wildlife and Fisheries as a Marine Fisheries Biologist. He spoke about his day to day tasks on the boat and his process of data collection while in the office.

After the presentation, our students got a hands-on experience when Mr. Sehlinger displayed how to remove an otolith, a fish’s inner ear bone, for research and age interpretation of the fish.

Special thanks to alumnus Troy Sehlinger ‘08 for coming back to talk to our Excalibur members!
