Excalibur Celebrates Earth Day 2021

April 22, 2021 marked the 51st year of Earth Day. The Excalibur National Honor Society of Science celebrated by doing an art project. Using plastic bottle caps and paints, the members created artwork depicting nature scenes. It can take up to 5 to 10 years for plastic bottle caps to degrade if they are made of LPDE, low density polyethylene. If they are not LPDE, they will take longer to degrade. Using these bottle caps as an art piece will keep them out of the landfill making our world a little better.
